@iikagennnaaka78 @FunkyTK1 @Cacophanus as someone currently learning programing, it is my understanding that if the games are made with an eventual switch to offline in mind, then it would be much more easier to do so and plan. the people in favor of the law understand that games before that point can't do it easy.

@iikagennnaaka78 @FunkyTK1 @Cacophanus it is a concern the people writting the laws are taking into account, as they do not want to discourage game companies from publishing games. they just want to make sure that , going foward, games with mendatory online can be run locally once the server stop.

@iikagennnaaka78 @FunkyTK1 @Cacophanus With the current proposals going in the EU, companies making future online only games , such as gachas, would have to implement a plan to make sure the game can still be played once the official servers are no longer supported. Of course, its only in the early stages right now.

However, some companies do implement it, such as the recent case with Teppen. There is a current legal discussion on how to implement a requirement for it fairly
