Not even critical elections. Through calamity, wars, and through the rise and fall of empires - over centuries - eternity has been inching closer. No matter what happens on Tuesday, God’s sovereign hand controls it all. His eternal plan is secure, written, and perfect. We are placed here for a reason. And so if we wonder how we cannot be anxious for anything, it’s because of the eternal victory we have through Christ, who overcame this world. And so it’s worth writing again: no matter what happens Tuesday, one thing remains the same; Jesus Christ is King. “For by all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” - 1 Colossians 16-17
