Two weeks ago, our team performed Boston’s first robotic resection of a Klatskin tumor — one of the most complex liver tumors — with 2 biliary anastomoses and portal vein resection/reconstruction, all done minimally invasively. The patient went home on post-op day 4, no complications. Final pathology: hilar cholangiocarcinoma, R0 resection.
