Caleb & Love had inverse games. Caleb was abysmal in the first half and good in the 2nd. Love was great in the 1st half and abysmal in thr 2nd. The Packers missing 3 kicks decided the game. The harvest is bountiful.
Joe@JoeA_NFL

Caleb Williams and Jordan Love are both yuuuge pumpkins. Caleb has talent but he holds himself back with poor processing and no accuracy. Caleb has talent but he holds himself back with poor processing and bad accuracy. One will have to advance, just to be harvested next week.

The posts that say ‘the NFL has a Quarterback development problem’ get a TON of hits They are also totally wrong I mean, seriously, look around - Broncos 13-3, Bo Nix homegrown - Patriots 13-3, Drake Maye homegrown - Jaguars Trevor Lawrence - Texans CJ Stroud - Chargers Justin Herbert - Bills Josh Allen - Ravens Lamar Jackson - Bengals Joe Burrow - Chiefs Patrick Mahomes - Browns Shedeur Sanders - Titans Cam Ward - Bears Caleb Williams - Eagles Jalen Hurts - Panthers Bryce Young - 49ers Brock Purdy - Packers Jordan Love - Vikings JJ McCarthy - Cowboys Dak Prescott - Falcons Michael Penix - Saints Tyler Shough - Commanders Jayden Daniels - Giants Jaxson Dart For the others… it’s not a ‘QB Development Problem’ it’s just, if you suck, eventually you get BENCHED

@Flms_JK @MySportsUpdate it’s actually a rather small part, just happens to be the most prominent cus that’s all people really see. he still most likely calls plays during practice, schemes, game plans for the opposing team, and makes subs(quinn gets last say?). they have a lot of other responsibilities.

Remember when Marcus Mariota had these abysmal commanders tied with the chiefs at halftime last week? Despite some really unlucky breaks? Suddenly you plebs are realizing how impressive that was.

The #Steelers’ trip to Dublin wasn’t without some drama: Sources say backup QB Skylar Thompson got jumped and robbed Friday night in Dublin. Thompson, who is on injured reserve, suffered minor injuries but is OK and with the team. Statement from Steelers Spokesman Burt Lauten: “We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin. We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident.”

Bad sign for J.J. McCarthy that the Vikings signed Carson Wentz a little less than a month ago and he steps right into that offense and completes 70% of his passes in his first start in week 3. McCarthy completed 58.5% of his passes in the first 2 games.

Shedeur Sanders doesn’t have a chance in the NFL. You know how I know that as a former NFL Scout? He has the No. 87 ranked time to throw this preseason (PFF). No. 87 out of 90. 3.48 seconds. Ouch. Last season per Next Gen Stats NFL QB time to throw was between 2.42 seconds and 3.13 seconds. 3.48 is WAY outside of that. He’s an outlier. Nobody has that kind of time when the games count for real. Nobody. It’s all about being able to make quick and accurate decisions. It’s about getting the ball out of the quarterback’s hand in the NFL. That’s not Sanders. Pass rushers in this league are just too fast and skilled. Quarterbacks in the NFL do not have 3.48 seconds to figure it out. This is not just a preseason thing either with Sanders. He’s always been slow. His time to throw was slow in college too…dating all the way back to when he played against a lower level of competition for two years in the FCS. 2021 (FCS): 2.92 seconds 2022 (FCS): 2.74 seconds 2023 (FBS): 2.89 seconds 2024 (FBS): 3.00 seconds * All times to throw PFF Sanders is the most hesitant quarterback I’ve ever evaluated. So forget about all the unfounded hype and clickbait that’s out there about him. This is easy math. With slow processing time and those mediocre wheels Sanders is as good as done in a league where it’s all about quick and accurate decision making under center.

@xJORD3Nx @JoeA_NFL The quality of the players doesn’t matter when making certain passes. Wouldn’t it been the same pass regardless of DB?

No surprise. Quinn Ewers was my 2025 NFL Draft QB2 behind Cam Ward. And I maintained a 1st Round Grade on Ewers the past two seasons of game film at the University of Texas in this pre-draft scouting report: firstroundmock.com/2025/01/gunsli…
Preme Football@premefootball

Dolphins QB Quinn Ewers is turning heads early in camp. Miami’s rookie had his best performance on Day 3 of training camp. "Quinn Ewers had a strong third practice of training camp. Made several impressive, big-time throws," per @DavidFurones_. Ewers, taken in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 231st pick, is quickly making a case to rise up Miami’s depth chart. The Bears would be a wildcard team this season if they had Kirk Cousins (2024: 66.9%) instead of being stuck with the more inconsistent Caleb Williams (2024: 62.5%). After what Ben Johnson did with Jared Goff, I’m convinced of it. 2025: With Cousins: Bears 10-7 With Williams: Bears 7-10 7 NFC Playoff team quarterbacks completion percentage from 2024 (it took at least 10 wins to qualify): Jared Goff (Lions): 72.4% Jalen Hurts (Eagles): 68.7% Baker Mayfield (Bucs): 71.4% Matthew Stafford (Rams): 65.8% Sam Darnold (Vikings): 66.2% Jayden Daniels (Commanders): 69.0% Jordan Love: (Packers): 63.1% 6/7 of the NFC playoff quarterbacks had completion percentages better than 65.0%. The Bears are not getting that level of consistency out of Williams. Cousins showed last season he’s still capable of producing at that level. Last season as a starter, Cousins went 7-7 with the Falcons and Williams went 5-12 with the Bears. In 14 games last season, Cousins took 28 sacks (2.0 per game average). Cousins had a 2.71 second time to throw (NEXT GEN STATS). In 17 games last season, Williams was the most sacked quarterback in the NFL with 68 sacks (4.0 per game average). Williams time to throw 2.92 seconds (NEXT GEN STATS) Cousins makes quicker throwing decisions and he is more efficient than Williams. He also takes less yardage losses that set the offense back with sacks. The Bears would be better off in 2025 with Cousins.
