Cornerback Deonte Banks' fifth-year option is being declined by the Giants. Hardly a surprise given his struggles the past few seasons.   Essentially the Giants declined to pick up an option that would have put Banks under contract in 2027 for $12.633 million. Instead, he’s fighting for playing time with second-round pick Colton Hood and free-agent signing Greg Newsome in his way.

Broderick Jones’ neck injury complicated the Steelers’ decision. Would’ve been much more likely that his fifth-year option would’ve been picked up if he stayed healthy.

The Packers have indeed picked up the fifth-year option on edge rusher Lukas Van Ness, the 13th pick in the 2023 draft, a source said confirming @mattschneidman's report. It means LVN will make $13.8 million in 2027. He will make up to $3,121,104 this coming season.

This is interesting. Part of what helped Proctor's draft stock is he's got LT experience and has the feet for the position. But the Dolphins have emerging talent Patrick Paul at left tackle, and Proctor has the ability to move inside.

Jon-Eric Sullivan told @JoeRoseShow that first-round pick Kadyn Proctor will start out at left guard and the team will see how things progress On drafting Proctor: “We feel like we not only plugged a hole, but did so with the best player available.” Sullivan said Proctor will cross train at tackle & guard, but will start off at LG with Jonah Savaiinaea moving to right guard
