When we expect that math will be too difficult for us or our students to learn and understand, it contributes to the inevitability of our lack of success. Our systems must support teachers in seeing that their decision-making impacts student learning. bit.ly/4iogCgn

Reflect daily on small data. At the end of every day, take two minutes and jot down a few quick reflections. Use small data—student engagement, formative assessments, exit tickets—to adjust in real time and to celebrate wins!

Saw this awesome pile of Jacks this morning! How many? How do you know? We can count the number of Jacks or we can determine the number of pointy parts (name??) in all. If there are 6 pointy parts per Jack and there are 10 Jacks, how many pointy parts in all? @KatieNovakUDL
