I used to act like these videos just came together. Maybe pride, maybe wanting it to look effortless. Part of it was showing people around me I wasn’t obsessed or neglecting other responsibilities. This isn’t my "real" job by any means. I don’t think I’ve ever shared this, but I own a restaurant in West Michigan with big plans for more in the near future. I’ll be honest, though. This make-believe time allocation is not the reality. As I’ve improved, the editing and cleanup have gotten more time-consuming because there’s a self-imposed standard I won’t go below. I want every second to be informational, which makes it hard to cut corners. This last Cooper Flagg video is at 500K+ on TikTok and 300K+ on IG in under 24 hours. Not bragging, just showing what goes into it and when it all feels worth it. I did this for about 8 months without making a dollar, from 5pm–9pm after my regular day’s work. That’s how hard it is to make money in this space. Sometimes I still can’t believe it all came together. This is an admission and a thank you. Seriously, the support means a lot, and if you made it this far, I know you’re a real one. 😂 I’d still do it all over again. I don’t just "talk hoops." I legitimately love hoops. I’ve spent what most would call a ridiculous amount of time on this game since I can remember, going back to the first time I saw a regulation ball go through a 10ft hoop at an athletic club named Ramblewood. It felt like I had just accomplished my life’s biggest goal. I ran straight to my pops on the treadmill with a “watch this!” lol (this is really becoming a diary on here. Can you tell I miss CBB?!!)
