@ATinyGreenCell Its a flawed system. We standardised primary and secondary school, and undergraduate degrees, are discouraged from straying from the syllabus, and then society wonders why a large percentage of the population has little creativity? Imagination is crucial to innovative science!

I've never been a good student, B- at best, but these days I inhale papers and dream in bioengineering. I wish the conveniently numerical metrics of our society didn't convince us to throw away folks who are deeply dedicated and motivated but incapable of standardized testing.

Our CRISPRi circuit paper is finally out in @NatureBiotech!! This paper was the culmination of many years work, and I'm glad it's finally out into the wild. A massive congratulations to @TheAdelKhan - his persistance in the lab helped illuminate key features of circuit design!
