@HeroicLife @Heccles94 Most of those jobs exist because of demand from consumers. Companies create jobs when there is demand. When demand dries up they lay people off. Try working at Amazon some time: they terrorize people rather than employ them.

Twitter had 7,500 employees before Musk. It exists because a handful of founders created it. Bezos started Amazon in a garage -- it now employs 1.5 million people. Microsoft went from two guys in Albuquerque to 228,000 employees. Intel was eight engineers in 1968 and still employs over 100,000 after the cuts. Every single job on your list was created by the billionaire you're mad at for cutting it. You've listed companies that collectively employ roughly two million people and pointed at the 5% being restructured as proof the whole model is a lie. That's like watching a hospital lose a patient and concluding medicine doesn't work. "Replace with AI" is doing the same work "replace with machines" did in the 1800s, "replace with computers" did in the 1990s, and "replace with automation" did in the 2010s. Total US employment after every single one of those transitions: higher than before. The jobs that get eliminated are real and the disruption is painful, but the claim that billionaires don't create jobs requires ignoring the millions of roles that exist right now solely because these people built something from nothing.

Musk sacked 80% of staff when he bought twitter Bezos is sacking 14,000 people to replace with AI Microsoft are cutting 4.1% of jobs (9,100) to replace with AI Intel are cutting up to 25% of staff to replace with AI What's that about billionaires creating jobs?

@MichaelCollison @SarahLongwell25 It is easy to throw accusations about Trump around when you haven’t actually seen the files. Why do they refuse to release Weiner’s laptop or Seth Rich’s laptop.

@MichaelCollison @SarahLongwell25 I have been following politics for a long time, since before Obama. If you only realized what all the politicians have to done us. You would be shocked. I read a tons of news from everywhere not just the US. Q makes some good points.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 I notice you tried to pivot off the fact that Russia actually has nuclear weapons pointed at the USA. Only an idiot thinks a man with a gun to his head is a friend.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 If Russia would not fire a nuke at the USA why are they pointed at us? 🤷🏿‍♂️ Do you know the history of the Cold War? 😂 Reagan called them the “Evil Empire”. Just because Trump is Putin’s puppet doesn’t mean you throw history and common sense out the window.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 Subpoenaed! Tell me: in Trump’s two administrations name one high profile Democrat he has successfully prosecuted? No one is going to jail because Trump is a Russian asset. You keep waiting on these prosecutions in your bubble. 😂😂😂

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 If you don’t want to deal with past support for dictators just say so. The USA overthrowing the Iranian govt in 1953 gives us zero credibility. This might shock you, but Iran is a sovereign nation and we have no right to determine its future.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 A country with thousands of nuclear weapons pointed at the USA (Russia) is not a threat but a country that does not even have a nuclear weapon is! Do you even know how you sound? 🤷🏿‍♂️

@MichaelCollison @SarahLongwell25 Russia isn’t a threat to the US. Both countries have nukes. Israel didn’t start the conflict with Iran the US did. They are sacrificing blood and treasure for the US. Ukraine isn’t an ally. Until the CIA led color revolution in 2014 they were closer to Russia.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 The “shit show” in Iran started when the CIA overthrew a democratically elected govt in 1953 and we installed the Shah of Iran a brutal dictator loyal to the USA. We supported the Shah with weapons while he brutalized his people. That is what started the uprising in 1979.

@MichaelCollison @mlfrostmi @ShelbyTalcott Not sure. But Sessions was a "strategic wimp" who enabled the deep state. Bill Barr is CIA and Epstein adjacent, while Bondi is a Zionist who is Epstein adjacent.

News: The president has informed Pam Bondi that her time as AG is nearing an end, multiple sources tell me. Formal announcement hasn’t yet come aka all the normal caveats that he could change his mind apply; he’s been speaking with advisors on a possible replacement in recent days (as others have reported this week) and Bondi is aware of that as well.

@Badger419256 @SarahLongwell25 We didn’t bitch because Russia, the country that has thousands of nuclear missiles pointed at us, invaded an ally and we decided to help. The toddler in the white started a war with no plan other than lying daily that it will be over “any day now”. The markets don’t believe him

This is exactly how a cost of living crisis starts all over again. We finally thought inflation was cooling down and then a sudden oil surge pulls us back to 2023 levels. It is a massive blow to the economy because when fuel prices stay this high for too long it just forces every business to hike their rates

BREAKING: As US oil prices rise above $112/barrel, our models indicate that if current levels are sustained another 2 months, US CPI inflation will rise to ~3.6%. This would put US inflation at its highest level since September 2023.

@shickzander @bbirdbPhD As you realized gig driving was barely a sustainable business model before rising gas prices. Your cost of driving is higher than just gas, you gotta factor in future maintenance and repair costs.

@bbirdbPhD I started doing delivery driving a few weeks ago. Was making $100 a day which was enough to just barely cover expenses but gas was taking out $20 a day and that was before a tank went from $40 to $60. And if you’re doing delivery, you don’t have the $ to upgrade to hybrid

I haven’t seen anyone mention the way that this inflated price of gas is about to probably destroy the delivery side gig option to make ends meet. When drivers aren’t even making even to be able to fill up their cars to work, what then…?
