@bbirdbPhD babes I live in an immigrant community. we garden year-round and my neighbors have chickens( community garden too). The type of change that we're about to undergo is not gonna be convenient. And that's the reality of the situation. It's not gonna be easy, but yes it's possible.

The key word here is “willingly” because obviously not everyone has financial access to high quality face masks. For me it’s about are you about it, when you can, or do you make excuses as if you don’t need to do what is right for the collective.

Growing/making your own food requires education it also requires time. People have jobs. They are raising kids+

So this is a good time for me to remind everyone that urban gardening can be done on the cheap, but it's still a privilege to have the time, space & $ to do it. (Also like my sewing.)
