Secretary @CiscoAguilar & AG @AaronDFordNV issued a statement after three Washoe County Commissioners failed to canvass the recount of two vote totals for the June Primary Election. Today, the @NVSOS & @NevadaAG filed a petition with the NV Supreme Court to address this failure.

ICYMI #NV election officials are following the laws outlined in NRS. We are required to receive ballots - postmarked by Nov 8 - until Nov 12 and to conduct sig cure until Nov 14. Counties must canvass results on or by Nov 18. @NVSOS does not make the laws, but we follow them!!

@JosefTruth They can under NRS 293.269931 which allows county election officials to begin counting mail ballots 15 days before Election Day.

@NanaTeacher22 We post the candidates in alphabetical order until results arrive after the close of polls.

The statewide outage has been resolved. NVSOS.gov is back up. The outage did not extend to the counties, so voting was able to continue uninterrupted.

@NVElect Question: Do Nevada election workers process and feed mail ballots into machines throughout the day or wait until in-person voting is over?

The outage did not alter or disrupt our plans for Election Night Reporting. We will post unofficial results after the close of polls and the last Voter has voted this evening at silverstateelection.nv.gov #trustedinfo2022 #Election2022

During that brief outage, the Effective Absentee System for Elections (EASE) was down. If you attempted to access the page it would not have loaded. It is working now as well.
