For four years, we have been harassed, threatened, and targeted in every way imaginable - on social media, at our homes, through text messages, voicemails, and phone calls - all because we did one thing: we were witnesses in a murder trial. The same people who loudly claim to be champions of the First Amendment didn't like what we had to say under oath and instead of respecting the process, they treated our testimony like a starting gun for intimidation. What followed has been years of relentless harassment meant to silence, scare, and punish us for telling the truth. People like Rich Schiffer, and others who have fueled this behavior, should be ashamed.
