One of the few situations where it wasn’t in his control, joined Ignite for 2 years when he was 17, becoming the youngest pro in American basketball
When Ignite fell apart he was ineligible for the draft and was only given a few options on where to play, was deemed ineligible for college and had to stay and play for the Mexico City Capitanes. Declared and tested last year and went undrafted. Nobody should be upset if he ends up fighting and gaining eligibility
Providence has landed Westchester Knicks guard Dink Pate, a former Top 30 recruit out of high school, source confirmed to @TheFieldOf68.
First reported by @jeffborzello.
Pate opted to go to the G-League, turned down two-way contract and 10-day opportunities to maintain his eligibility. Averaging 16 ppg this season in the G-League.
Pate had been recruited by NC State, Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama.
Bryan Hodgson and the Friars have now landed two big-time guys today with the earlier commitment of San Diego State wing Miles Byrd.

We got our guy, a real one!!! Fired up to welcome @_mbyrd21 and family to Friartown! One of the best defenders in all of college basketball. An Elite two player, NBA prospect, and amazing young man! #GoFriars
Blackhawks forward prospect John Mustard plans to return to Providence for his junior season. There was a chance he would turn pro after his college season ended. I imagine he's a candidate to sign late next season and play in some NHL games.
