That's great, but you can still duo to challenger and according to Riot it's still legitimate. If two fresh accounts duo the whole way to challenger, it's legitimate within the current system whether you like it or not. I don't like duo queue either but this is the game now. Unfairly shitting on someone because of their champ is some incel behavior.

I have reviewed the footage from random games on stream as an unbiased 3rd party. My conclusions are as follows: 1. Misu laning/teamfighting is genuinely good on enchanters, even for challenger supports, even not on yuumi. 2. Misu vision control is below challenger level, but it is compensated IMO by how well she is laning/teamfighting. 3. Misu should not have been banned #freemisu

@drewlevin @_Beora And to be clear, no, I don't think any rioter should get to decide the weight of any "load out factors" - if we had this philosophy to begin with at the conception of league it would have been a much more stale game.

@Nikkonelol @_Beora This sounds like you believe that there is no set of loadout factors that should contribute to lobby termination. People should get to lock in jungle yuumi and, so long as they don’t type, we shouldn’t blow up the lobby even if all four teammates report them. Correct?

I’m growing a bit weary about the growing influence Riot is taking on what can and cannot be played in certain lanes as of recent. I get the intent but I do think there has been a LOT of creative innovation over the years that would not exist without someone testing the waters for a weird pick in a real game It just feels like a really slippery slope Why even let them pick the champion in the first place at that point? Clearly the data is there if the termination is mastery based Are we then going to limit champion select on mastery across the board? If not, why? That is just bad communication by Riot isn’t it? And to be clear, I do NOT think that is a good idea but we should at least be consistent I am in a unique position where I have done actual research into champion picks at Apex tiers, so please do not discount my concerns by saying “Riot has data we don’t!” People playing champions they don’t have high mastery with DOES have a proven negative impact on the game, even at a high level of play where general skill is higher. I have proven that for myself and made the data available. But how can they improve on the champion in a highly competitive space if they can’t practice it in that environment? “Play it in norms first” works for platinum peter who is playing against a relatively average skill level in normal games but what normal game bot duo is going to properly punish a challenger player on an off pick? Most challenger players could pick AD Brand and win a norms if they aren’t someone who plays norms often to have high mmr in it To a question of “would you not ever terminate a lobby and punish a player for troll picking, then?” my response would be this: If the player is behaving honestly and is not antagonizing in chat, let them cook. If they show a pattern of poor behavior IN GAME you should punish them, and if they have repeated offenses of that specific behavior where they are clearly negatively impacting games when picking off-meta champions you can be more harsh about the punishment but it should not ever be based on champion mastery alone. It should be based on a pattern of displayed behavior.

@drewlevin @_Beora Reporting based on your character pick should not be a thing and it's easily abusable. Since you won't come out and say it there's an obvious difference in the weight of a single report between a yuumi top and an Ezreal bot. Either take a stance on it or don't.

@drewlevin @_Beora No. Players should be allowed to experiment new picks and innovate. How do you determine what is and is not terminable? If I play fiddle bot and get reported, should the lobby terminate? What if I play swain bot for the first time? This sounds like you have an approved list.

@Nikkonelol @_Beora If someone reports someone else on their team for sabotaging the game locking top yuumi, I personally believe we should blow up that lobby 100/100 times. Do you not believe that?

@drewlevin @_Beora Correct if I'm wrong here, but you're the one taking the stance here that Yuumi top should always result in a lobby termination. Or are you saying it is sometimes acceptable? If so, in what circumstances? Or are you just giving players the illusion of choice as you typically do?

do you actually think this is a coherent logical argument? I haven’t seen you argue for us to remotely take over someone’s controls if they start to int. people get to make choices, other people get to report them for suspicion of trying to lose, and one of our jobs is to build systems that adjudicate those reports at scale.

@Backslicer98276 @drewlevin @erenjaegerSOS Except it doesn't. If a pick doesn't work, it quickly gets filtered out of high elo because they'll lose games. I don't mind going against experimental picks and often times they're more fun to play against.
