Ever wanted to learn how to work with the Riot API? Never tried coding a day in your life? I've started a video series with the aim to help people go all the way from minimal python experience to being able to access, manipulate and eventually store SoloQ data ⬇️Link Below⬇️

@arshgoyal13 Just as a heads up, a lot of times companies doing things like that are really using the job posting as a front for collecting data to train models / be sold Not a guarantee but happens enough to the point where if you see something like that just move on imo

@Arktheos Really good after 2nd item on a lot of junglers and helps you finish off the 2nd layer of JOAT too usually

It should be a decent buy on AD champions who can't slot Dark Seal after you complete your jungle quest you can still purchase it Conditioning+Overgrowth in 1 item should make you ~10% tankier Even 15-20% best case if you keep sustaining or CDs come back

@jgfullclear @lemowa_ @drewlevin please please please escalate to the team for a fix, it is one of the most frustrating bugs in the game right now for junglers (happens on scuttle crab too)

Staff Of Flowing Water Stats & Best Users 📊 Since its changes in 26.9, Staff has consistently held the highest WPA of any Legendary item Its low pick rate implies supports are often only picking it up when laning with mages, but should this item be bought in more spots?

Wanted to expand my thoughts on this a bit more I think Riot should release a trials system similar to 2XKO that lives within their own client and has serious rewards for completion. It should teach advanced concepts like wave manipulation, jungle fundamentals, some of the more niche but necessary skills like how to flash over big walls, etc. BUT I do not think it should be available until you reach Silver in rank. I think from Iron - Silver there is too much going on for the average new player to not get sorely confused but if they know where the goal post is most players can naturally intuit enough game mechanics to get at least that far (and if they can’t, the trials might not have ever been able to help) The baseline tutorial should NOT have advanced concepts, it should be about the core mechanics of the game. Gain gold, kill dragons, hit towers, destroy nexus, watch out for enemy champions. It would be cool if they partnered with educational content creators for the trials, folks like Alois and Perry who do a lot of fundamental training. I think Riot has learned through Jynxi that there IS still a voracious appetite for the game but players are struggling to retain after onboarding and I think this could help The biggest difficulty would be maintaining it over time; it would take a small dedicated team who’s job is to do biweekly check ins on patches and internally prep material in advanced for big changes but those happened relatively infrequently Those are my thoughts. 2XKO nailed it, copy them
Beora@_Beora

I think my current feeling on it is that it seems this change is targeted mostly at players in the gold-emerald range (good enough to reasonably be able to last hit minions with decent efficiency but not good enough to know the mechanic) and I think there is an argument to be made that if the game had better onboarding / a system like 2XKO which teaches complex concepts a mechanic like this would be better off staying in the game and taught instead of removed but because that has not yet been designed I can see the argument for removing it as it serves to be confusing for the largest part of the playerbase That being said, man would it be sick if we could get a trials type practice system for league. I came to 2XKO as my very first fighter and I was very very shocked at how they did not treat me like a baby at all they really give you properly hard trials and concepts right from the rip but they work up to them in a way that is incredibly sensible. I think if league "gamified" the trials system from 2XKO to teach more difficult concepts it would serve the new player experience and onboarding quite significantly I am not a game designer but I am a teacher and have been teaching kids for 7+ years and so from a pedagogical standpoint the way I'd see you teaching a mechanic like this is first establishing for new players (after the very very basics like cs'ing and ability usage) what it means to be in a "winning" vs "losing" lane, and then test them on questions like "In this example, X champion will likely lose lane to Y champion, in order to mitigate this they can do Z" etc - would need to have some sort of ingame example and it might need a new engine / league next to be released but something worth considering

players: Riot should really care about making the game more approachable and comprehensible to people trying to learn the game those same players: Riot is killing their game yet again by removing an esoteric minion targeting rule that 10,000 people worldwide understand

@_Beora @tak_01_ We also tried this in practice way back. There are definite benefits to doing it occasionally but wouldn't advocate doing it all the time. I'd say the benefits are more around synergy withour communication though rather than 'playing like its soloq'
