Assuming we have a crypto-friendly US regulatory environment, and assuming some tokens (either existing or forthcoming) are indeed securities, are crypto market makers / exchanges applying for US broker dealer licenses? If yes, who? If no, why not?

Anyone else thinking, the more Trump pops tariffs on imports the more the rest of the world might receive at discounts. I am more than happy to do my fair share of consuming French wines and champagne 😀 and will switch from US jeans to French and Italian. Whats not to love 🤣😂

Today I asked a tradfi panel at an investor conference what their view of bitcoin in portfolio construction is. They laughed. I made clear that not having a view of digital assets in the current macro context is uninformed and out of touch with the geopolitical climate.
