I’m overcome by the devastating loss of Vice Mayor @NMetayerBowen. Nancy was a visionary and motivated young leader whose focus, drive and determination were unmatched. She had so much promise and I was so fortunate to have known and mentored her. My deepest condolences go out to her parents and family, to the Coral Springs community and her beloved Haitian American community who loved her back. May her memory be for the blessing that she was to so many.

The Bible openly acknowledges the tension of seeing wicked people prosper while the righteous suffer. In passages like Psalm 73 and Jeremiah 12, people question God honestly and feel discouraged by this apparent injustice. The turning point is realizing that this success is temporary, while faithfulness has lasting, eternal value. Jesus reinforces this in Matthew 5 by redefining “blessing” beyond immediate, visible outcomes. what you see now isn’t the full picture..justice and meaning unfold over a longer timeline. 🙏🏿

Uncomfortable day for Niele Ivey, the excellent coach of @ndwbb. Her son Jaden, NBA player just released by Bulls, called Catholicism a "fake religion" on social media. She has had a decades long relationship with Notre Dame as first player then highly successful coach. And it comes one day after her team was an eliminated in Elite 8 after a great post season.
