@michellemccann Errrh ... there may be solutions, discuss the issues you're having with your eyecare provider, make sure you're heard & find out about different solutions. What may work for one, may not another, all of our eyeballs are unique, so find out what's the best for you.

Re-upping this thread. Once news was scarce and advertising space was scarce. That's no longer the case. Basics of supply and demand mean the market value of quality news has dropped far below the social value of quality news, and is unsustainable.

There is so much that is just bad and dumb about the Online News Act, Bill C-18. Why don’t the media just say “our business model used to make us a lot of money when news and advertising space were scarce. Now that it’s not scarce, but we think we should still get lots of money."

For many industries, the value of the "professional" skill has been bundled with the "product" & the overall package is what I have in my hands at the end of the day.
Nothing is free, even the "free" news I am receiving is paid for through my data.

@OceanOptometry But we do have quality providers who may not bend stones, but I'm happy to support with my $$$. In a sea of fungible products, if you can stand out by offering something different, distinctive or with added value, you'll hopefully be successful.
