Yeah, I’m lowering my score on Donkey Kong Bananza from 9 to an 8 now. I’m slowly losing my enthusiasm for its core gameplay loop, and with every other issue that I have been whining about for months, I don’t get why this is considered one of the best modern 3D platformers, man

in hindsight, wonder does possess a bit less replayability than the heights of older 2D mario, but the “wow” factor the first playthrough gave me was simply something else. still think it’s a really great game, maybe an 8/10 at worst and a 9.5 at best
