@djfoster08 Depends on how much he likes it! I can buy one digital copy on my ps5 and then we both will have it. Is there any benefit to starting with having the DLC?

@GameDadVII Yeah Rise would be a good starting point, story wise they are standalone so no issue there. Will you be getting the Sunbreak Expansion as well?

I asked some friends this and im curious to what yall think. I want to try a Monster Hunter game with my son. Which one should we start with?

@djfoster08 im just looking for a game to play with my son to try and get him off of this survival game that has him hooked so like end game and cross play arent important for this specific decision. Rise kinda sounds like a good starting point? then if we beat that maybe wilds after?

@GameDadVII Oh didn’t see that 😂 highly recommend wilds as well unlike the other two. MH Wilds also has crossplay amongst PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Also in its base form has a pretty good end game as well being very accessible with Support Hunters

@BryanOnTheMic I still think your statement is ridiculous, but i want to clarify I wasnt telling you to take a break from making youtube content, but from watching youtube content that fosters this mindset (unless this is the type of content you make, then yes take a break)

@GameDadVII I’m limited in my number of characters and if you choose to attack how I get the point across as opposed to the point itself it tells everyone all they need to know about the flimsy positions and beliefs you hold. Glad you thought you did something with that tho <3 ✌️

The current gaming culture confuses me. People get so excited when a game they weren't excited for doesn't have glowing reviews. I absolutely understand not being interested, or excited, in a game. But being happy when it underperformes doesn't jive with me.

@GameDadVII It’s much more than not interesting someone. We ignore games that don’t interest us all the time. It’s very rare for something so egregiously dangerous to the integrity of the industry as a whole to come along that needs to be put down.

The new PSSR update is awesome! But be careful with some non compatible games. Octopath Traveler 2 it causes the beautiful OST to skip like an old CD and the character voices started to go up and down octives

@2gun_saint I'm certainly not saying be blind to criticism or want better but that is different than actively rooting for a game to fail.

@GameDadVII I saw a lot of WWE fans complaining about the latest game. I remember when ppl started pointing out problems that became normal in gaming. If games don’t change for the better, they’ll make a crowd that’s waiting for failure.

@BryanOnTheMic No one is forcing me to play any games I'm not interested in. There are way more games that have come than I have time to play. Games come and go, but this celebration and tribalism are just constant waves of negativity and pitch forks. If a game doesn't interest you just move on

@GameDadVII Because there have been a wave of corporate slop shoveled at us for over a decade and seeing the studios responsible or trying to hop on those bandwagons finally close down for good is a message to the higher ups of what consumers actually want. The market is working.

@GameDadVII Exactly what drives me crazy. I thought we just collectively loved games as a community. Not every game has to be for every person, but it's very weird to want them to fail. I've never felt that way about anything.

@GameDadVII The more experience you have in the hobby, you’re likely to see trends, bad ideas, and cash grabs. I see a lot of gamers pointing at bad products, and celebrating that they guessed correctly. There’s also a group of ppl that just crap on everything.

@GameDadVII The way social media presents it, it feels like little people are actually excited for games anymore. I swear all I see is a bunch of negativity for upcoming and newly released games. It almost feels like if it’s not a 11/10 game, it’s just labeled as “bad” by a large majority :(

@Arron_TK I've ended up finding some reviewers for specific genres that I know vibe with the same stuff I do, and I mostly use that. I've had amazing time with 7/10s and I've also not enjoyed 9/10s and then vice versa
