But faithful ones absolutely exist: solid preaching of the whole Word, clear gospel, biblical sacraments, and real fellowship without the guilt trip for butts and bucks. I have personally vetted 20 faithful churches across multiple states. They are out there. With roughly 330,000 Protestant congregations in the US alone (even as some close and new ones plant), it is not “statistically impossible”. It is a matter of discernment, not desperation. Hebrews 10:25 is not a marketing ploy for needy pastors. It is a command against habitual isolation that leads to drifting, especially as the Day approaches. Lone wolf Christianity ignores how the early church gathered (homes, small groups, under fire) for mutual encouragement and perseverance. Skepticism of manipulative churches? Valid. Using it to justify ditching assembly altogether? That is the real drift. Test everything. Hold to the faithful. Do not neglect the gathering. Find or move to where one is.
