We need a just transition away from fossil fuels to help us hit Net Zero . You don't make that happen with 100 new oil and gas licenses , a new coal mine , or by tearing up plans to tackle vehicle emissions & phase out gas boilers – that's why I'm taking the Government to court .

Really pleased with how Scorpion our #PiWars robot has turned out. I teamed up with Brian Starkey aka @usedbytes to form Brian². My role was hardware development and Brian's was software.

@Colin_G_NE Sadly education is only part of the problem. Part of the problem is the broken society and children being brought up in neglectful surroundings. Much of the development that should happen in the families is being pushed to become a problem for schools to resolve.

@maddiemoate @BBC_Teach @microbit_edu I queried whether it was available for community groups, but was told it wasn't - a real shame... I've taken nearly 100 scouts through their digital maker badges on two micro:bits and it would be great to be able to do more with them!

The response to the new @BBC_Teach @microbit_edu campaign has been incredible to witness. It's honestly so nice to be part of something that truly helps teachers and schools out. (P.S. Primary teachers, there's still time to register for a free classroom set!) #BBCmicrobit

@rcoultart @janewaite I’ve been running an after school club for years, usually project based, we’ve entered PiWars successfully twice and launched and retrieved a High Altitude Balloon. Currently building a life sized DALEK. I’ve been lucky enough to build and equip a small MakerSpace at school.

A4 Get involved in any research project that @janewaite is doing, but also coolest projects and (pre-pandemic, but hoping to do again) trips to the Apple Stores in London for their programming workshops #caschat

@caschat_uk A3 My favourite lessons have been my MicroBit lessons. Whilst I am a big Raspberry Pi fan, with a class size averaging 30, Microbits are great. My best series of lessons with Microbits have been STEM projects (Mars Rover, Battle Bots and Ocean Buoy project)

Here's #CASChat Question 1. Came about this week as some parents were asking what topics I cover when teaching Computing to their Nursery and Reception aged children.

@SelaineSaxby All I can say is “who on Earth came up with the idea of using Biomass fuel” I am a Primary school teacher and I’m sure if I put that suggestion to my pupils they would criticise it. Everyone knows the serious issues surrounding climate change, but no none seems serious to fix it.
