#Destiny Content creators who didn't start destiny or gain popularity until Beyond light and DSC opinions don't matter. You weren't there for all of D1, and didn't show up for half of D2.

If you legitimately think playing and enjoying destiny 2 is comparable to being in an abusive relationship you need therapy or mental help. The video game is not your wife or your girlfriend. Its not even a person. It can not abuse you. If you think it can abuse you, get a grip.

The problem wouldn't be the people returning for a D3, the problem would be bungie needs to systematically regress. No more spoiling all the shit before release. Secure their API to prevent leaks, revert back to D1 Mechanics for pvp (the halo feels). Stop nerfing everything.

@PaulTassi If they keep destiny around, its either for destiny 3 or they will transition expansions i to a every 2 year model, as it has shown over the last several years they can not produce content within a year time frame.

So, in summary: - Sony’s $765 million in impairment losses for Bungie means they are downwardly adjusting the value of an asset that I think everyone but Sony realized was probably not worth $3.6 billion. This is not “lost money” in the sense some are thinking of - This wouldn’t be happening if Bungie games were doing great and printing loads of cash. Clearly they are not - Sony is at least publicly backing Marathon per its comments on the call, so the result of all this is not some imminent game/studio shutdown - Sony says it does not expect more big Bungie impairment losses in FY26 - All this is to say there are no guarantees this doesn’t produce something like layoffs and reduced overall investment in games like Marathon, Destiny and future projects. None of this is good news outside of claims of future Marathon plans to try to turn things around. Emphasis on try - I remain very concerned about Destiny

@maximilian_ part 3 comes out everyone is like this is it, then boom game just ends on a cliff hanger and after the credits it says Cloud will be back.... and flashes 3 more hidden titles. 😱

RE: FFVII Drama I think it's about time we come clean with each-other regarding this. There's a lot of personal feelings going around in the last few days that needs to be directly addressed, without the 'he said, this once' sort of thing happening. We've all been in this for so long that it's hard to look back at what's happened for the past six years without a wide lens of context. I think we're starting to gain a little bit of that perspective with part 3 right on the horizon. Things are closer than they ever have been, and it's making some folks feel uncomfortable about what they feel. Maybe it could happen, maybe it can't. What's important is that we're able to have these conversations at any time. It's all for fun, and it feels like the entire point of the trilogy. A lot of people don't like what I have to say about certain things, but it's how I feel and I can't hold that back. Don't want to beat around the bush anymore and directly talk about this without being cheeky or trying to hide what I really feel about things. So I'm just gonna say what everyone is feeling. Part 3 will be 300+ GB and ship with a NVME drive on PS5 with a little imprinted FFVII logo. I refuse to believe everything else. You can't convince me otherwise.

@GrandPOOBear I do it for fun and when I want to. And that is why I have gone nowhere since the jtv days. I am fine with it. Gaming has been my life and recording is like building a personal time capsule

After 13 years on Twitch, I do not think I know anyone that works there on a personal level anymore. That sucks.

I wanna be honest and real for a min: The whole Bungie/Marathon/Destiny situation is so weird to me. It doesn't make sense in my brain. You have Bungie making the most successful sci-fi, live service, looter shooter of all time, over the last 10 years. They were already known for Halo, and Destiny took it to the next level. Destiny starts to fatigue. Development starts to become lazy and stale. Bungie fucking OWNS the live service shooter market, with basically no competition, so there's no reason to change.. cause it sells. But as things remain stale for Destiny, there's a HUGE window open in the market. A Destiny 3 fresh start would have been the greatest gift to the community, a community that is far beyond a cult-following. It would have plunged life back into the franchise. D2 just cannot hang on forever. So instead... they cancel D3, and launch a brand new game. It's not PvP like Halo; it's not a Destiny-like; it's an extraction shooter... kinda a weird genre imo. You have all these Bungie/Destiny fans that WANT to like Marathon, but the truth is - there's little crossover between Destiny players and extraction shooter players. It exists, but it's not what many would want. So who's the target audience here? Destiny players want Marathon to succeed, so Bungie can succeed, and therefore push resources back into Destiny, and have Destiny succeed. As for Marathon right now, it doesn't look like it's revolutionizing the video game world or anything. It kinda gives off a "been there, done that" extraction shooter vibe. I know it's early, things could change. But these are my early impressions. So the whole thing just kinda confuses me.. a bit? I dunno. I just feel like a game winning ball was dropped.. hard. This isn't a hate post. I WISH Marathon succeeds; at least at the minimum, selfishly, so that Destiny continues to get more love lol. This is more of a "these are my shower thoughts" post. @asha_shar One request I think by the millions of gamers. the next xbox controllers should finally be built with TMR sticks. Yeaaah something that increases the longevity decreases overall sales. But, if 3rd parties are already doing it... 🤷‍♂️
