@PixelierShop I'll go real slow for ya. Why can't you see the land the buildings are built on?

@GongyXyphorf The atmosphere starts acting like a lens, distorting what you see. That’s why distant objects can shimmer, stretch, or appear shifted — it’s not a clear, straight line of sight.

@GongyXyphorf Also worth noting — especially in summer — the air between your viewpoint and the skyline isn’t stable. Heat creates layers of air with different densities, and light bends as it passes through them.

@GongyXyphorf Between your viewpoint and the skyline, the Earth isn’t a perfectly flat slab like a marble floor. It has curvature, terrain variation, and atmospheric distortion. Those subtle ups and downs are exactly why distant objects can appear partially hidden or distorted

@maximumpain333 So why are they using those types of lenses then ? Why aren't they using proper lenses for people on earth to see closer ?

I love how Artemis II was launched on April Fools'. I mean, if I was trolling conspiracy theorists, that's exactly what I'd do. But also, if I was trying to fool people, that's what I'd do. I guess we'll never know the truth, will we?

@IanCopeland5 What's wrong with a person working at a gas station ? Are you saying a person who is working there cannot be smart or have logic ?

Just so I get the flat earth conspiracy correct. You think that NASA spent 1 BAGILLION dollars to lauch people into OUTER DAMN SPACE, at ridiculous speeds... To lie to a dude that thinks the Earth is flat and works at a gas station? Yep, that makes sense...

@DaMockracy @AJamesMcCarthy So for me this makes no sense because how can we see things that are billion light-years away but somehow we cannot zoom on the moon which is right there. Even with a Samsung phone I can zoom pretty close to it.

I've made a career of photographing the moon for the last 7 years. Shooting it this morning felt different somehow. Like the moon has changed.

@fhgmartins @NightSkyNow Well off course. You can choose to believe whatever your level of logic allows you to. We are all unique and our perspective of everything is different from one to another. We should stop being mad about what others are thinking.

While you slept last night, completely still in your bed, our galaxy moved millions of kilometers through the cosmos. You woke up in the same room, on the same planet, yet unimaginably far from where you were the night before. The Milky Way is not drifting quietly through the universe. It is racing through space at around 600 kilometers per second, carrying billions of stars, planets, and everything on them along for the ride. It is a good reminder that even when life feels motionless, you are always in motion.

@OwenBenjamin @TBR24_7 NASA deniers are lower than midwits There are 10s of thousands of people who work on the space program. Probably millions if you figure in everybody from the earliest days till now And you guys insult them for no apparent reason It's moronic
