Our condolences go out to @IccnRdc and the entire family of ranger Bizimana Karabaranga, a patroller in the @gorillacd who was killed yesterday by a gunshot. At this stage its origin is not identified yet.Suspicions are that MaiMai armed groups could be responsible. MHSRIP!

A report by @EIA_News revealed the UK as the world’s largest ivory exporter. Between 2010 and 2015 the UK exported 370% more ivory items globally than the next highest exporter. The Ivory Act was passed three years ago, yet it still hasn't been implemented into law @ifawuk🐘.

After an ENV volunteer alerted us to a restaurant in #Hanoi #Vietnam selling #pangolin, police seized 3 live and 14 frozen #pangolins. Then we worked with the court to secure prison time: 11 yrs for the restaurants owner, 5.5 yrs for the chef, and the 3 yrs for the supplier
