Yes! If human rights are defended only when convenient, they are not principles..,they are preferences. Genuine solidarity means standing against repression wherever it occurs, even when it complicates our preferred narratives or alliances. @jk_rowling
J.K. Rowling@jk_rowling

If you claim to support human rights yet can’t bring yourself to show solidarity with those fighting for their liberty in Iran, you’ve revealed yourself. You don’t give a damn about people being oppressed and brutalised so long as it’s being done by the enemies of your enemies.

British Columbia is perhaps the most unserious retarded place in the world. Spent $76 on takeout and they asked me if I want to buy a bag for $2. I ask the lady at the take out counter what do you mean? Like are you just going to load this up on my arms? And they expect a 25% tip when I can't even get a bag.

@SteveWps I think that is a tiny representation of why so many people are leaving the province. The cost to live is so out of touch with the rest (most) of Canada - and it’s the principle of paying the excessive prices for real estate down to food and gas.

Sarah Ferguson was involved in talks to clone the late Queen’s beloved corgis for a reality TV show. The “nut” wanted to have a reality show by selling Cloned Corgis that belonged to the Queen. “Described by Hollywood producers as a ‘bold and controversial business venture”

@OKMagazine Yup, that’s business. Lots of headlines, weak follow-through and appalling content and eventually the numbers catch up.

@PolOffside That would cost millions. Licensing, partnerships, setup, compliance… it all adds up fast. And let’s be honest, she still has $$Millions of stock sitting at Netflix that hasn’t moved. Why would anyone here take that risk? Australians are NOT stupid!

What are Harry & Meghan really up to as they come to Australia? Public records from IP Australia show multiple As Ever & Archewell trademarks secured here across media, content & commercial areas. This looks like a coordinated, multi-layered commercial strategy, not just a visit.

@persa78372 @HRHCatherine Exactly; when journalists stop interrogating the narrative and start amplifying it, they’re no longer acting as a check, they’re part of the PR machine. Encouraging to see some pushback on Harry and Meghan.

@HRHCatherine This is my issue - Journalists are trained to question PR narratives not echo them. Yet too often, media outlets recycle curated messaging with little scrutiny, abandoning the critical lens the profession demands. Glad to see some journos willing to do their jobs questioning H&M!

Prince & Princess of Wales Fan
The American press is finally picking up on Meghan using her kids to sell As Ever products. The absolute hypocrisy of someone who screams about privacy, invading that of her children to sell jams is disgusting. She thinks semi-hiding their faces means it’s all ok, it’s not, they’re still on camera, they’re still being used. We don’t need to see their faces because we have their mothers shoved in our faces. This entire marriage and family is going to end in tears.

@RNN_RoyalNews Yup. Not surprising. Netflix likely wrote this off the moment it became clear there was no scalable content pipeline or revenue generation from products, cutting losses is disciplined capital allocation.

@benonwine Brilliant. Quiet faith is probably the most modern way to approach leading the Church of England bc it appears measured, personal, and a lot less performative than people might expect from a future monarch. Well done.

@BenGrahamUK I see your point but I think it’s decisive marketing to get other people from other religions to buy it bc the chocolate is good. Just more profit if they open multiple vertical’s.

Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

There is no appetite in the U.K. to expend money on a brat of a prince who offers no benefit to the country, and it would backfire massively on the monarchy as well. Harry should have thought of security when he left. telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2…
