@taniabassett @NotThatBigIan Not the private sector letting down the Probation Service and the whole justice system? There is a long chequered history here and perhaps it's time Probation takes over the management of electronic monitoring.

@NotThatBigIan Changes to HDC and then Early Release was always going to impact on the supply vs demand of tags. What did HMPPS tell Serco and what was Serco's response? Another Serco shambles??

Who are Serco & G4S contract managed by? Who is in control of multi-million pound failures in tagging and contract management of some private prisons? Why wasn't this picked up in contingency planning by the state? Simply not good enough to say all the blame is on the provider.
