@khademh I applaud your courage for speaking up. I hope the government interference in research will stop soon. Open, global cooperation is what moves science forward. It is important for science to remain politically neutral and open transnationally.

🔥 The Quiet Blacklisting of America’s Scientists
Something disturbing is happening in U.S. science — and too few people are talking about it.
Brilliant scientists are being quietly blacklisted.
Grants are being killed at the last minute.
Labs are losing funding. Startups are collapsing. Careers are derailed.
Not because of fraud.
Not because of espionage.
Not because of any misconduct.
But because, years ago, they collaborated with international students — students who were legally here, visa-approved, working on open, peer-reviewed research.
Some of those students kept affiliations with their home universities — a totally normal, transparent, and once-encouraged academic practice.
Now those past affiliations are being treated like security threats.
No context. No evidence. No due process. Just a flag. A label. A shutdown.
This isn’t science policy. This is fear policy.
And it’s happening under the name of “research security” — a term that’s becoming a catch-all for suspicion, profiling, and guilt by association.
Let’s be clear:
🚫 Publishing with a student from a foreign university is not a crime.
🚫 Hosting international talent should not trigger a federal investigation.
🚫 Retroactively rewriting the rules is not how you protect national security.
We are witnessing a modern-day McCarthyism in science — where affiliation, not action, determines your future.
And the consequences?
❌ Groundbreaking research canceled.
❌ U.S. labs emptied.
❌ Startups abandoned.
❌ International talent fleeing.
❌ Entire teams punished for the appearance of risk.
This isn't how you defend innovation.
This is how you destroy it.
We need national security.
But we also need common sense.
And we desperately need policies that distinguish between real threats and imagined ones.
If you care about science, fairness, innovation, or the future of American research — now is the time to speak up.
✅ Oversight is needed.
✅ Due process must be restored.
✅ Science must remain global — or it will not remain competitive.
🔁 Share this if you believe in facts over fear.
📣 Comment if you've seen this happening in your field.
🧠 Speak up before silence becomes complicity.

@EmilioIAlarcon1 @OttawaMission So true, Emilio. With so much trouble in the world, it makes me wonder if more compassion and empathy were present, maybe we would only have a fraction of conflicts that are currently ongoing. Cheers.

Horrific. THOUSANDS of Ukrainian children have been taken by Russia - with many sent to re-education camps to replace their love of Ukraine with "a love of mother Russia"

See how we the woman of Iran get beaten up to death by morality police & pass our message to your government in the West.
Sanctioning morality police without taking action against those who order morality police to kill women is futile.
