We’ve had a few new Potatoes join us lately, so it’s intro time! Hey, I’m Ruby! Been a gamer since way back—started with a Commodore 64, and that “gamer phase” never ended. I’m an achievement huntress, mostly on PC and PlayStation. Used to write and record achievement guides, do OG RE speedruns, and challenge runs (like SL1 in Dark Souls). A couple of years ago, I had an accident that led to a brain injury, so my hand-eye coordination is kinda shot now. But hey, I still love gaming, so who cares? Now, instead of a pro gamer, I’m the Mommy to my Potato Squad (that’s you guys!). I’m Ace (specifically Aegosexual) and panromantic. You probably followed me after seeing a pic and already have me labeled—fair enough, considering the “link in bio.” But hey, a good gamer never judges a book by its cover. That’s how you find the hidden loot! 😉

I was putting on my daily routine of creams and serums, ending up looking the same just with less money. Then I looked at the mirror and I was like: “Wow, the sun isn’t a deadly laser anymore, there is a blanket! Lemme take a selfie.” And here we are.

Japanese devs and their character designs are just top-notch. IMHO, the fact that the MC and her sister always look “perfect” even in a horror setting doesn’t really ruin it for me. Controversial take I guess…

Would you hire this lonely elf warrior to travel with you? She’s been turned away by every party because “elves aren’t built for heavy fighting”… yet here she is, sword at her side and a tiny hopeful smile, still waiting for someone kind enough to give her a chance🥺

Just added 3 more to the collection! I literally ran out of space though… I’ll need to find a spot to keep going. What are you guys playing lately? I just started Fatal Frame, and once again I have no idea what possessed me to play the game with such nice graphics on console.

@PureRuby87 Currently juggling God of War: Sons of Sparta, Persona 3 Reload, Tales of Xillia Remastered, Once Upon a Katamari, & Absolum. Waiting for a big deal game to come out next month, since I want nothing big in March... Either Pragmata, or Starfield, if rumors are to be believed...

@AnguloJunjun You may know this already or not but in Resident Evil you absolutely shouldn't kill every zombie. It was thought like that, you have to dodge quite a lot of them and other kinds of critters

Project Zero/Fatal Frame 2 Remake is out!! Finally starting a game that I’ve always loved since I was little. Japanese folklore is just perfect for me. I think I’ve even streamed fatal frame 1 back in the days🤔

@Igor_Frnknstein They probably just gave a general glance and saw plane blade and chip breaker and didn’t understand ? No idea.

@PureRuby87 Its weird that they would not recognise chisels and a sharpening stone even if a hand plane or a spoke shave is something they have not seen before.
