Talking with someone close to UNC program earlier today, Hubert Davis was emphatic to administration that he wanted to stay as coach. But raising money to build the roster was going to be next to impossible. Decision was made to fire him as Davis makes clear in his statement.

I’ve said this before about Cataldi…he was the BEST interviewer in Philadelphia. Pointed/smart questions, wouldn’t let anyone off the hook if they gave a shit response. He was great.
Unfortunately, that was like 10% of his show. The other 90% was loud mouth garbage.

Re: Reed Blankenship's contract — I don't want to frame anything as absolutes, but the Eagles' roster-building approach in recent years has gotten away from the players in the $7M-$15M range.
They have players among the highest-paid players at their positions, and then players on rookie deals/low-cost contracts.
