I have been opening @sleepagotchi within minutes of waking up.
Not because I set reminders.
Not because I’m forcing discipline.
Mostly because seeing the streak, the points, and Dino’s little progress animation feels oddly satisfying.
What surprised me is how simple the loop actually is:
• Pick a bedtime
• Stick to it
• Wake up to rewards
• Use those rewards to progress Dino’s story, unlock things, and battle bad dreams
That’s basically it.
No complicated sleep tracking.
No wearable pressure.
No feeling like homework.
And somehow, it worked better for me than most sleep apps I’ve tried.
The apps with beautiful charts never really changed my behavior.
The reminders felt easy to ignore.
But Sleepagotchi quietly turned consistency into something I actually wanted to come back to. The streak becomes its own motivation.
The AI coach part also caught me off guard.
Instead of only saying “you slept well,” it connects sleep patterns with how I feel during the day and suggests small adjustments that actually make sense.
It’s not magic.
