The Helper in the Sky The Bible tells us that eternal life is the free gift of God. It cannot be earned. Those who think that they can merit salvation are in a delusion about God. They see Him as their friend, the Helper in the sky upon whom they can call when they have problems. However, the Bible teaches us the opposite. It tells us that God is not our friend, and that He's actually our enemy. It also tells us that if we come to Him with a proud heart, He will resist us. It even says that our sins have made a separation between God and us so that He won't even hear our prayers. Such thoughts are offensive to a godless world, but they are the truth. They will never truly repent as long as they don't know the truth. God has given us another day to speak the truth in love. There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.
