We, in the City of Oklahoma City, should be composting the green/yard waste that comes out on Big Trash Day. It should not be going to a land fill, when it could be refueling our post-dust bowl, clay soils.

Friends (possibly graphic designer friends?) - I have a black & white photo of my Mom that I need to scan for a digital copy so I can send to a company to put it in a locket for my wedding day. Tried scanning & it’s grainy. Any ideas on how to get a cleaner product?

Get outside today. We have only 18 trees on our street block & if you close your eyes, it sounds like you’re in a forest or at a lake’s edge. The birds are calling. It’s a really beautiful day. Much needed going into 2023.

@86stitt Definitely counts! I would absolutely love for us to have neighborhood “farms.” There’s an empty lot in my neighborhood that I dream of being that. Could be managed by one person, but feed so many in our neighborhood!

I think I might start raising laying hens in my back yard. LOL @ me because I have no idea where to start but also the feeling of being able to feed my family & neighbors PLUS getting back to the roots of my food sources just has me all amped up!!

Getting paid every other week is the absolute best structure of all time when you’re a budgeter! We budget off of 2 checks per month, so a few times a year, we’ll each get our 3rd checks, & it feels like a bonus! Got one today & it’s going right to our wedding budget 😎

Last night at Sushi Neko, we sat next to a table of 15 folks from all over the world celebrating a work Christmas party. They bought us a bottle of wine & joined our table. One lady opened up & cried with us, so appreciative of our kindness. This is peak OKC.
