A new animation posted in Rovio Gaming shows Dahlia transforming into Shade. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, Shade is officially real.
Why did they do this instead of just adding Dahlia herself? I dunno. But it’s interesting, at least.

Realistically, if existing Angry Birds games start making their way to modern consoles, I can see these being picked;
-AB Bounce
-AB Classic (but specifically the Rovio Classics build)
-AB Reloaded?

I’m seeing people get excited over the possibility of Angry Birds Trilogy coming to the Switch and just want to remind everyone:
-The job listing is for a NEW Angry Birds game.
-Rovio no longer have the rights to use Rio characters.
It may happen in the future, but not yet!

I was pleasantly surprised by Bounce in terms of its quality, so I’m interested to see what Rovio Toronto will do here. Given recent surveys showing Rovio want to push titles for console (particularly the Switch) we could see more AB games on console sooner than we thought. (2/2)

Gameplay of Shade has leaked!
I honestly quite like this ability. Sure, it’s just Dahlia’s reworked a bit, but it’s less overpowered than the likes of Melody’s when she launched.
I also love how this is just the WORST kept secret ever. We know nearly EVERYTHING about Shade now

By the way, while Shade herself is confirmed to be, without any doubt, real, this render (the 3rd image) was made by my friend @Sorc3rerz. Figured people should know since the render has been doing rounds since Shade’s existence surfaced

With Rovio now posting AB2 teasers about Dahlia, and Shade’s ability having been leaked (it’s identical to Dahlia’s), I think it’s now safe to assume that the theory relating to Dahlia and Shade being the same character is true.
We’re likely gonna get a big lore drop soon.

@makuzman @ReubensStuff I doubt they’d make a whole new character to serve as a placeholder when Dahlia’s name already appears in the code, so there’s a chance they might’ve been using her name as a coverup for Shade? But yeah either way nothing’s making sense at the minute

@RandomABOpinion @ReubensStuff Dahlia was mentioned in flock forward, code, and a teaser is related to Stella flock. Said video found by Reub was on the Reddit when fake popped up so there's a chance it's not real. At best placeholder. I don't see the point of the character that has exact same role either.

UPDATE: SHADE IS REAL.
We now have video proof of them being in the shop and spritesheets are starting to surface for them. They’ve apparently been in the game’s files since AB2 7.0.0.

What we know about the new AB2 character: Was suspected to be Dahlia, but a screenshot posted on the AB2 subreddit last night (3rd) suggests it’s, in fact, a bird called “Shade”. We don’t know if the screenshot’s real, but this (1st) teaser was just posted in Rovio Gaming. (1/2)
