Fact #34: A pitch for The Angry Birds Movie from around 2012/2013 by Sony has recently been unearthed. The trailer shows a wildly different concept from the final movie, being a disaster movie similar to Pixels or The Smurfs live-action adaptation.

It’s quite funny to me that Rovio are riding off of the coattails of Movie 1’s revitalisation/10th anniversary and using a poster from it to promote Dream Blast, when in reality if you play the game you’d actually find it’s INFESTED with AI art

@monkeygamer1802 Sure but the positioning of every character in the shot lining up paired with the fact that both shots precede a scene involving Hal using his ability make me think the team watched Summer Pignic and at least did it somewhat intentionally

There are some REALLY good callbacks to shorts such as Summer Pignic and Cordon Bleugh in Movie 1. I never actually noticed some of them up until a couple years ago

The Angry Birds Movie DVD has a "Symphony Mode" Bonus feature. Which plays the film without any sound effects or dialogue. I really wish other films had this as a bonus feature cuz this is actually really cool!

If you ask me, this is something all movies should have. Without them, you never really notice just how much the soundtrack adds to scenes like these. Heitor Pereira did SUCH a good job composing here it gives me genuine chills
