Emergency numbers for #SouthAfrican🇿🇦 nationals in the middle east. Those that have registered with our embassies have been contacted directly (for the record...even prior to the attacks. We did advise those on our databases to get out). Share these numbers & help us reach everyone. 🙏🇿🇦

Employee: Hello
Manager: What are you currently working on, the IT report?
Employee: Yeah, I'm currently going through the data.
Manager: OK, share your screen. I want to see how you're doing it.
Employee: I am following the specific instructions you provided.
Manager: I would like to see it.
Employee: Has the timeline changed? Has this now become urgent?
Manager: No, why?
Employee: Then I would appreciate being given the trust and responsibility to complete this independently. It is challenging to work on this with the constant interruptions and check-ins.
Manager: Why don't you send me an email with what you've completed so far?
Employee: Once I've gone through the entire document, I'll schedule a touch base where we can go over it together and decide on the next steps.
Manager: So you're putting all of the data in column J?
Employee: And you're putting the "micro" in micromanager.

Manager: Are you working today?
Employee: Yes, of course. That's why I answered your call.
Manager: You just never informed me you were going to be at a hotel.
Employee: Oh, I didn't know I required your permission to work remotely from a location other than my home.
Manager: You need to ask for approval prior to working elsewhere. 'Quite a vacation' I believe they're calling it now.
Employee: Is there a policy which states this? My understanding was that as long as I was not in a location for a prolonged period of time, which could impact performance, then there's no issue here.
Manager: What if I need you in the office in two hours? Can you get there?
Employee: Oh, why would you need me in the office?
Manager: How am I supposed to know you're really working when you keep moving around?
Employee: Is all of my work getting done?
Manager: Yes.
Employee: Then I'm curious as to why it matters where the work is being completed from.
Manager: (In disbelief)
Employee: After all, I am paid for my output, not my location, right?
Manager: I would like you to inform me of your location should you not be at home.
Employee: Well, now you're just sounding like my mother.
HR: (Fuming, ends meeting)

Just the same way your hairline is receding and i know you wanted to have hair. It's not in their personal control. Hope that helps.

SERIOUS question, Ladies. How do y'all have postpartum depression from having a child you so wanted to have and be a mother?
