Depending on snow/forecasts, NASCAR could make decision earlier than usual. Snow forecasts for Saturday I've seen have anywhere from less than inch to 6 inches. NASCAR appears willing to race in cold once roads/track cleared and it safely can have event, whichever day that is.

@jeff_gluck @KellyCrandall Good. Maybe drivers coming into cup will actually do good because they’re getting more experience running with cup drivers on Sat. like back in the 2010s. Aside from Briscoe (who’s done decent) no recent xfinity driver that dominated the xfinity series and went cup has done good

What a strange vibe at the track. I’m having trouble putting into words. It’s like oddly subdued. If the format wasn’t already changing, I’d feel outrage and anger. But it is changing. It just didn’t change soon enough. I feel bad for Zilisch. But at the same time, I also feel bad for Love. Because the reaction to the format is not fair to him after he had the performance of his life. He shouldn’t have to apologize for it or defend it. The fact a championship could be accompanied by such a numb feeling is obviously another sign the system needs to change. But again, it already is. Last night was a crisis averted for NASCAR with Corey Heim winning, particularly the way he did it. People around the garage felt relief today. Tonight, NASCAR’s luck ran out.

@KevinHarvick Ridiculous. CZ could’ve won 35/36 races and JL wins the last and he’s the champ. When you won in 06 you had 9 wins and stomped the field. You were the best, no denying it. JL with 2 wins with half the top 5s of CZ and his 10 wins was no where near the best. Absolute embarrassment

@jeff_gluck No hate to Jesse but he doesn’t deserve to be champ. CZ has 10 wins compared to someone who’s only won 3 and CZ had double the top 5s. Absolutely ridiculous. Even more ridiculous to think CZ could’ve won 35/36 races and JL wins the last race and be the champ. But it is what it is

One week ago, Jesse Love almost coughed up a huge points cushion at Martinsville Speedway. Tonight at Phoenix, he wins the race to become a NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. Aric Almirola wins the owners championship for Joe Gibbs Racing. Connor Zilisch is shut out after a 10-win season, but wins rookie of the year.
