There's no point wringing hands over "echo chambers" and whatnot. People stopped trying to communicate a long time ago. Everyone's just trying to "win."

Elections in the USA last so much longer than anywhere else in the world because Americans love it so much. Also it makes a lot of money for the broadcast networks and what not. Which is even more important than the fact that everyone loves it.

But the big question, of course, is how will the Gabriel Bell riots affect Trump’s chances of winning the election?

@David_Raffin Rather cheaply, but not necessarily quickly, given lifetime tenure of federal judges. The Supreme Court chastened the Fifth Circuit a few times this term, but I think that was just show. "You can fascism, but not so crudely."

Supreme court rules USA presidents are all powerful. Unless they are weak. And refuse to use their Kingly Powers. And simply wait for someone to assume office who will. So they can mumble that it is unfair.
