My family and I are keeping everyone affected by tonight’s shooting in our thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful for the brave men and women in law enforcement who acted swiftly to ensure everyone was kept safe. There is no place for violence in our country.

We should always be working to strengthen our immigration system and protect the American people. In the House, we’re passing solutions to improve vetting and secure our borders—but too often, those efforts are stalled in the Senate. I’ll keep pushing for policies that ensure those who come to this country respect our laws, love America, and contribute to our communities.

Another false promise from @GovofCO — this time to “make Colorado’s home insurance affordable.” I remember when he and his Democrat pals promised they'd make Colorado a Top 10 safest state in the country and look how that turned out.

Colorado Democrats are at it again — taking money straight out of YOUR pocket. A new proposal from the state legislature would cost taxpayers $7,381 in TABOR refunds — money that rightfully belongs to Colorado families. And here’s the kicker: 75% of that money isn’t even guaranteed to go to education. Instead, it gets dumped into a general fund  pile for politicians to spend however they want. Let that sink in. This is a massive redirect of taxpayer dollars with no real accountability. Hardworking Coloradans are already struggling with rising costs, and now state Democrats want to take even more — with no guarantee of where it goes. This is exactly why TABOR exists: to protect taxpayers from this kind of government overreach. Colorado families deserve transparency, accountability, and to keep more of their hard-earned money — not less.

I joined @RepGuthrie to lay out the truth: what’s happening in CO is a warning for the rest of the country. Overregulation and endless permitting delays are driving up costs, blocking projects, and pushing jobs overseas — while countries like China move faster and outcompete us. As wildfire risk continues to rise in the Pikes Peak Region, regulatory clarity from the EPA on how wildfire emissions are treated is more important than ever. @RepGabeEvans’ FIRE Act would give states more flexibility to use prescribed burns & ensure out-of-state wildfire smoke does not unfairly count against our air quality standards.

We remember those who gave everything for our country — and we thank the brave men who served and carried that sacrifice forward. My Expediting Federal Broadband Deployment Reviews Act just passed the House with a nearly unanimous vote. We’re cutting red tape, creating a federal strike force, and accelerating broadband deployment on public lands.

My bill, H.R. 1681 is on the House floor today. This bill cuts red tape and speeds up federal approvals for broadband projects — helping connect rural Colorado faster. By creating a federal “strike force,” we’re making sure agencies stop dragging their feet and start delivering results. Better access. Faster buildout. More opportunity for #CO08. 🇺🇸

Colorado lost over 11,000 jobs last year — something that usually only happens during a recession. Let that sink in. While the rest of the country grows, Democrats in Denver are choking our economy with their red tape and failed policies. @GovofCO is driving jobs OUT — plain and simple.
