This week, I had the opportunity to speak with students from Alvaton Elementary during their tour of the U.S. Capitol building. It's always great to welcome folks from back home to see the beauty of our nation’s Capitol and discuss the three branches of government!

Yesterday, @HouseCommerce held a hearing looking at ways we can increase transparency in health care. I told a story about a recent interaction my wife and I had, where a health care provider sent us to collections without ever sending us the bill. This is exactly the type of situation that makes Americans feel like the health care system is broken and unaffordable - and they're right. I'm committed to getting a bill to increase price transparency and end these predatory practices across the finish line.

Tonight, the Kentucky Congressional Delegation led our colleagues in a moment of silence to honor the lives of Staff Sergeant Benjamin Pennington and Technical Sergeant Ashley Pruitt, who were killed during Operation Epic Fury. We will never forget these two American heroes.

Last night, the Department of War announced that Kentuckian, Tech Sgt. Ashley Pruitt of Bardstown, was killed while conducting operations as part of Operation Epic Fury. Our Commonwealth is forever grateful for the sacrifice of Tech. Sgt. Pruitt. Beth and I are praying for her family and loved ones.

Yesterday, I stopped by the Delta Faucet facility in Morgantown to see the manufacturing they do here in #KY02. We discussed the work I'm doing as Chairman of @HouseCommerce to support American industry and reduce burdensome regulations. Thanks for having me!

Brandon Shah, a war hero who was killed teaching a class of ROTC students at his alma mater, and for the quick recovery of the injured ROTC cadets and synagogue security guard.   Heroism doesn't even begin to describe the actions taken by those on scene who took selfless action to prevent further tragedy.
