Not all blockchain activity is created equal. @solana shows strong usage — but 95% of fees come from MEV (Jito tips + priority fees). So yes, there's activity. But what's really driving value are the MEV opportunities happening under the hood. Not all activity is extractive. But it raises a key question: Is MEV-driven revenue sustainable for L1s long term? 🤔 @drakefjustin’s view is that MEV will move up the stack — meaning instead of L1s capturing it (via tips/priority fees), the value will increasingly be captured by the apps creating the MEV in the first place (like DEXs, lending protocols, etc). This happens through things like internalizing order flow, running their own auctions, or building MEV-aware systems. Which side are you on?

my favorite thing about this tweet is that phantom is listed on it these guys built a great wallet that users love and if they make revenue as a business, CT calls it "extraction" what a godless industry

Built a super simple tx parser for Solana. Main motivation was to be able to parse Phantom preview Transactions.

@nickfrosty I'm still deciding whether to switch from my M1 Pro, so I can't give you real-world experience. However, I will wait for their Gen 2 event on the 25th. But on paper, even the current offering (AMD 7840) looks decent 🤔
