This morning I witnesses a middle school girl get hit by a car on her bike, getting thrown off of it. After I crossed this cross walk on my own bike, I passed the girl going the opposite direction and a driver proceeded to illegally turn right on red here.

This year, CDOT will be installing a lot of new bike corrals in daylight zones across Chicago. Here's one we just installed in Little Italy. These quick-build curb bump-outs improve pedestrian safety and promote cycling. A win for the climate and public safety!

.@mtamaryland & @PurpleLineMD unveiled a light railcar that will be part of the Maryland suburbs’ light rail line. At 142 feet — longest of its kind in the US — it will hold 400+ riders. The railcars will also be electric, making for a quieter ride. tinyurl.com/5exnntc5
