In 1947, the United Nations proposed a partition plan for Palestine. Here’s the record nobody mentions: Jews accepted it, Arabs rejected it. The plan allocated 56% of the land to a Jewish state, and 43% to an Arab state, with Jerusalem as an international city. The Jews said yes, eager for a homeland even if smaller than they had hoped. The Arabs, however, said no, and launched an attack. Why does this matter? Because every time someone says "Israel stole Palestinian land," remember that the offer of a two-state solution was on the table from the start. The refusal led to war, and wars have consequences. By 1948, when Israel declared independence, they were immediately attacked by five Arab nations. Not only did they survive, but Israel thrived. It’s not theft when you're given a chance for peace and turn it down. It’s the outcome of choices made. 🇮🇱
