@HodgeLuke Facility will be a game changer for Argyle. People need to learn to think more long term. Redundancies will happen at any relegated club, although the fact it’s happening now instead of last summer, suggests poor planning @parc

Just read this excellent blog again! It really addresses fans who think Foulston is a waste of time. We've hit our ceiling now, with Foulston, the club has the chance to reach new heights. Investment still crucial but this facility will undoubtedly help in a positive way. #pafc

I have a huge amount of time for this. Tom is almost unrecognisable from the man in the dugout for the first 15 games. A real redemption arc for the ages, that I was convinced he wasn’t capable of. Well done Tom, and his staff. And to the club for sticking with him. #pafc

@stephenjones9 You fund 4 sides in a sustainable way. You let the best players play in England/France. You promote youngsters in their place in the URC. You increase strength in depth. You stop trying to compete with Toulouse etc. Reddin is an idiot. Winds me up and I’m English!! #walesrugby

@stephenjones9 If your best players go to France/England so what? More opportunities for youngsters in URC. South Africans and Argentines play abroad. Their teams are doing fine. More than enough money for 4 teams. Just stop trying to compete with Toulouse!

@wallaceheaney @90s_writer If you liked this book, I’d strongly recommend 1982 The Match by Piero Trellini and Answered Prayers by Duncan Hamilton. Both excellent and written in a similar style.

@jpstafford People can be genuinely stupid. Focusing on first xv results, ignoring u20 results, grassroots development and growth of game/increased media profile in Italy!

Worth taking a moment to remind folk just how many rugby people wanted Italy thrown out of the #sixnations. That is all.

@HuwTindall Yes. Which is why promotion/ relegation wouldn’t work. One bad seasons undoes decades of work!

Does Italy's recent success in the #6Ns suggest that professional development is essentially a multi-decade investment in pathways and that you have to expect a lot of pain on the way but need to stay the course?

@jonawils This year we’ll get 4 quarter finalists and a load of articles on unhealthy English dominance. Next year, no English club in the semis and a load of articles on what’s wrong with English football!

@gallagherbren58 People using Italy’s success to call for promotion/relegation miss the point. One demotion for Italy undo’s 25 years hard work

@rushyfpl A competition that chooses Leigh over Toronto, is choosing parochialism over growth. Will be a semi-pro comp in 10 years

@ben_robins86049 Things changed when Adams came back. Whole style of play and physicality changed. Yes credit to TC but to say he’s only one who deserves credit is completely wrong @pafc

Couldn’t afford to sack him + serious lack of communication when things were really bad, from the outside it’s easy to give him praise but I disagree. The only person that deserves credit is TC, proved us all wrong and never lost his head when we certainly did. #pafc

@ajsrugby Unfortunately Fiji playing in Fiji isn’t financially viable. They will generate far more money playing in the Uk. Money which is crucial due to compete with nrl investment. Comparing situation to Wales, a first world nation with a world class stadium, doesn’t make sense

@ChrisSru880101 Nrl are targeting Fiji. Playing in Uk gives the Fijian Union a cash injection that allows it to compete against that. Games played on island don’t generate much needed funds. Just economic reality. It’s a shame, but not harsh. Actually gives them a lifeline #fiji

Nah don’t like it, Unfair to Fiji, majority of the crowd will be Scottish. Won’t be a home game for them. This game being played in Fiji is a very winnable game for them, where the crowd would be totally behind them.

Fiji are coming to @MurrayfieldStad 🎉 We are delighted that Fiji's home fixture of the Nations Championship against Scotland on Saturday 18 July will be contested at Scottish Gas Murrayfield 🏟

As cool as it is for Fiji to have a "base"; this is not it If not at home, why are they playing the 3 UK nations, in their own country (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 in Cardiff; 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in Liverpool; 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in Murrayfield) Typical rugby to trip itself up before a new tournament starts
