Their truth has attached itself to their ego. They identify with it and challenging an accepted truth is challenging who they see themselves as. It's the basis of cognitive dissonance, you can tell when it's triggered because facts won't matter, questioning a narrative becomes a personal attack (and the response will be indicative of how they responds to attacks) and even if they accept what you say as a truth, chances are they will completely forget the conversation and revert. You can only bring knowledge, understanding is up to the individual. Doesn't matter if it's TDS, open borders, round or flat earth, it's a personal decision to change or hear or face a challenge.

Why do people always react with insults when you present them with conspiracy theories or invite them to have a civil conversation about them? Very strange...

If I were to hazard a guess, monoculture with few immigrants, a system that places education based upon facts above feelings and ministry of education that looks after education and not teachers. Add to that a diet that is not steeped in refined sugars and chemicals and one where community and society places a high regard for respect and not slop. I suspect Japanese students aren't wearing pajamas to school.

I don't feel like this is something a man would ask for. Prenup right away, if you can't agree on the terms of a prenup, what makes you think you can agree on the direction and goals for a future once married. Remember, it's also not for distribution of assets, but also where you live if you have children, who's responsible for the debt that gets created, etc. The best time to plan for a separation is when you both like one another, so you're sure to be fair to one another. It ensures a friendship so that you remain amicable in case of children. Don't frame it as not believing in a future together, but as a way to insure that future keeps a friendship for any family you might start.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Baby Roseanne the 8 week old Amish baby is being life flighted to the university of Michigan Hospital right now to have surgery. It got ugly. Covenant Hospital was sending this baby home to die. Who? The ER physicians and the pediatric surgeon. I told the Amish parents not to sign the discharge papers and not to go. I told them to tell the emergency room doctors that they were not leaving until they got a second opinion from the pediatric team. The pediatric team was called and determined that the baby was dehydrated and needed an IV. They had a very difficult time getting an IV in this baby because she was so dehydrated. she had been vomiting in the emergency room in front of the emergency room physicians. The pediatric team looked at the new x-rays and confirmed from an earlier X-ray that the baby did indeed have hirschbrungs disease which is a congenital bowel problem that requires surgery. The baby had not had a bowel movement in over 2 weeks despite enemas at home and enemas in the ER. Yes, you heard me right the emergency room physicians attempted to do an enema on the baby and it didn’t return anything and they were still going to send that baby home. When I palpated that baby’s abdomen, it was hard as a rock. At that point, the pediatric team stabilized the baby and called the university of Michigan to transfer for the baby there to have surgery today since the pediatric surgeon at covenant refused to take care of the child. In fact, the same surgeon had sent the baby home the week before from the ER and then told the parents to come to his office for an appointment. Then he canceled the appointment. During this whole time, the baby was getting sicker and sicker. They showed up at my home and after I evaluated her I sent them straight back to the emergency room. You can imagine how surprised I was when the parents called me and said they wanted to discharge Roseanne. . I told them this is gonna be a fight, but I am going to help you. They were bullying the parents because they had no medical knowledge and that was a huge disadvantage. I told them to ask the emergency room physicians why a resident from the surgical team had not come down to see the baby either time they have been in the emergency room for a surgical problem. I told them to tell the emergency room physicians that they were aware of what the appropriate protocol was. I think that question indicated to the emergency room physicians that this deception gig was over. Please continue to keep baby Roseanne in your prayers as she most likely will be having surgery today. 🙏🏻✝️

Recently a man in Aroostook County broke his tooth doing exactly what I tell my kids not to, but myself do on occasion… trying to open a tupperware container with his teeth. Ouch! He did what any of us would do, and called a dentist. But THAT office wasn’t accepting new patients. So he called MaineCare. They told him he was covered and gave him more names. He called those offices. Then more. Then more. Houlton. Presque Isle. Bangor. Portland. Over 30 dentists, and not a single one would take him! Some weren’t accepting new patients. Many didn’t take MaineCare at all. Others didn’t even call him back. Weeks later… he’s still walking around with a broken tooth. Only about a third of dentists in Maine even accept MaineCare. Specialists? Even fewer. In much of northern Maine, there is effectively one oral surgeon. Why? Because the system doesn’t work for providers. Reimbursement rates are often around half of private insurance. The bureaucracy is heavier, with a lot of paperwork and delays. So providers make the rational decision. They limit or stop taking MaineCare. And the people who are supposed to be helped by the system… are left calling 30 offices with nothing to show for it. THAT'S the reality of government-run healthcare. Now take a step back and ask the bigger question. If this is how MaineCare works… what do you think would happen under a full single payer system? Because that’s where some want to take us. Single payer… government run healthcare funded by the taxpayer. If providers are already opting out when they have other options… what happens when there are no other options? Do more providers stay? Or do fewer? Do wait times improve? Or do they get worse? Do rural patients suddenly gain access? Or are they pushed even further to the back of the line? We don’t have to guess. We’re already seeing the preview, thanks to @GovJanetMills and @MaineHouseDems Mainecare expansion. Coverage without access is NOT healthcare. Bottom line, Mainers deserve better than a system that sounds great as a campaign slogan, but leaves people calling “everybody under the sun” just to fix a broken tooth.

If you can't read English, are you qualified? IMO, Laws are to supposed to protect us. It's not a citizenship issue, it's a competency one. New drivers, especially teens have higher rates of accidents, which are reflected in insurance rates. Knowing English and passing the exam shows that despite inexperience, they at least have the minimum level of competency to know and read the laws and rules of the road. They are allowing non-citizens to get Drivers Licenses They are giving illegals driving permits WITH A 100% PASS RATE The Maine Wire “A longtime BMV employee came forward to expose a scam that allowed non-citizens to get driver's permits with a near 100% pass rate, by using foreign language translators to supply correct answers during the permit test” Once they have their drivers permits they can then get a license. Maine allows non-citizens to get driver’s licenses.

@3Nyu_sannyu agree, It used to be something when you needed to know some DOS and how to flash chips and get the right drivers over a 16kb/s modem after telling your OS where on the floppy the modem driver was, but it's plug and play now.
