Version 1.4.0 is out! We've fixed a bunch of things that broke over the past year, and added a badge for the parkwalker volunteer role: running-challenges.co.uk/2023/06/28/v1.… Thanks to everyone who submitted fixes to help us out!

@RunChallenges Thanks for the record breaker badge. Excellent idea. There seems to be some issue around home parkrun. My home parkrun is church mead which I have selected in the settings but the listings shows wycombe rye as 0 km distance and church mead 10 km away!

@HelenHeat0n It will probably move the av position a little but unless they're a long way away (will depend how many you've done and where) it shouldn't make that much difference.

@normal_danny Fun fact, while developing the first incarnation where it was centred on a configured home parkrun, if I set your home to Bushy you hadn't completed it!

@jeanpaultanner As far as we know Firefox on Android still only supports a very select set of extensions that have been specifically vetted, so we don't expect our extension to reappear until their policy changes - who know when/if that will happen.

@RunChallenges Hi, does that include Firefox Android? Since "Add to Firefox" button is disabled on the RC web page on my Samsung, even after reinstalling the browser

We've fixed a thing: running-challenges.co.uk/2022/06/05/v1.… plus, the extension is available on Firefox again, and it even works!

@StephenRDawson I'm afraid you are on your own there, we've never tested that.

@RunChallenges Thank you! Can't set home parkrun in Kiwi browser on Android - can't say for certain whether I could before, though, but I presume I would have noticed when setting athlete number.

@mattdarnley You don't even have to be an uber-tourist for the average parkrun location to be some distance away - I'm in that boat. I've done 224 parkruns, including 134 at Winchester, but already I haven't done any of the parkruns within the 33 or 45km circles of my average location! - Andy

@RunChallenges I think the most interesting think about this challenge is that it evolves as your average parkrun location moves… fine for those that usually frequent the same venue, but might have interesting effects for uber tourists or if you suddenly hop across the world for a parkrun

@DEvans_Media We'd like to but that information isn't available on your parkrun results page so we can't do anything with it.

@RunChallenges Will you ever add more for people who volunteer at Parkruns? such as a volunteer tourism map, for example?

@JoggingTeacher Counts each consecutive different parkrun location until any one parkrun reoccurs (not necessarily your home parkrun).

@andytuna Different problem there. A Firefox reviewer appears to have rejected all versions of the extension. It's not clear what, if anything, needs to change, and we can't resubmit it for reviewer until we have a new version (with changes). So we unfortunately can't fix it immediately.

@RunChallenges Thank you for getting the extension back working in Chrome! Is the Firefox add-on likely to re-appear?

I hope everyone is enjoying the clean lines of the new parkrun website, unadulterated by random badges from our extension all over it :) We'll fix it when we can 👶.

@xcurlytwigx @parkrun @RunChallenges No the run data has been processed successfully. It’s the apps and extensions that don’t seem to be picking it up.

Any idea why todays run data from Bury Field @parkrun is not getting picked up by @RunChallenges. The volunteer data seems to be reflected okay but not the run data.

@micksuv @cjurecki It's possible it is only fixed on English-language parkrun sites, so we won't make a proper announcement until we've got it working everywhere, and it is published in all the usual places

@jonathansc When the extension is back working again, try going into your preferences, changing your home parkrun to something else and saving it, then changing it back and saving it. See if that helps.

@RunChallenges Is not the list of buggy unfriendly courses going to be shorter - but that may depend on the wheels of your buggy
