Some findings from my study asking Y11 & Yr12 students why they do/don’t choose English at A Level

I should say that I *do* know that R&J isn’t C19th, as an example I give at one point seems to suggest!

I can see if I can find out more from emag students. We reach a v large number & I have exchanges with those who submit to the mag from all over UK. Maybe an emag survey would be good!

We should scrap a GCSE where you teach the same 3 texts to death year after year, and make a new one that encourages and rewards wide reading
