The very concept of Northrend actually being a worldsoul destroying machine or whatever ruins most of WotLK's lore. Arthas' story about a prince trying to do right and falling into hatred, cursed etc was a PERFECT story. All these tagged-on additions 15 years later damage it.

Instead of going to a full trial, Blizzard and the main defendants (including AFKCraft Ltd and Josiah Zimmer) have now agreed to settle the case.
The settlement covers the immediate and permanent stop to running or updating the Turtle WoW private servers, distributing or supporting the modified game client, and working on any similar “remastered” or emulated WoW projects.
From my understanding, the case isn't 100% closed yet. The settlement requires certain actions to be completed within the next 60 days.

Sorry, but I’m not buying it: Alonsus Faol in the Arator campaign, Liadrin in the Zul’Aman campaign, Lorthemar in the main campaign quests, in a Horde city that’s been given a massive revamp...I'm fed up with reading it.

I don't see what's wrong with some comic relief? Like, there's some dark shit in midnight if you actually paid attention to any of the lore and actual read anything (Quest text matters people!).

imo, The Arcantina feels like the canary in the coal mine for where Warcraft’s tone is heading. It leans into a whimsical, cozycore vibe that just doesn’t feel like Warcraft anymore. A shame, because it looks stunning. Imagine if it had uneasy faction tensions inside, with brawls breaking out in the lower levels. ⚔️🔴🔵

Yea that's not entirely true, it was pitched that it was going to be a Light VS Void expansion ontop of the Void will ATTEMPT to corrrupt and snuff out the light from the sunwell. Not that it's going to be a whole thing expansion thing.

I like how Midnight was pitched with the whole Sunwell conflict, but it is already over. The Vanguard of the Light...wiped out instantly. So is the Lightbloom stuff over now, too?

@arcanistsaphras While we haven't had to confront them yet, they've always been there as a looming threat, but the why are they doing it and the what are they doing was a looming thing for a long time. They kept weaving that story in expansion after expansion in some way. (2/2)

With that all said, I do hope Blizzard goes back to normal expansion pacing post TLT. I don't think the pacing of these trilogies is healthy for the game. I mainly hope we return to grassroots, smaller stories that are grounded in Azeroth and aren't constant cosmic threats.

@arcanistsaphras Agreed! The only part of the criticism I hate to see is them criticizing the story when they don't have any understanding of the story or just simply say "The story is bad" with out giving an actual answer on why. Unfortunately some of these people don't read or pay attention.

If A LOT of people are criticizing one aspect of WoW, which is the story right now, there is a reason for it. It doesn't mean they're looking to hate on something, or they didn't understand the story as you did.
Criticism is HEALTHY for a live service game that has no end.
