New pinned post since the follower number is going back up with me doing charts/graph stuff again. I’m not looking to push narratives with my charts and graphs. I post this stuff because 25 years ago instead of watching cartoons like every other kid, I was watching espn and writing down every stat I could. Trying to convince my birth mom, that any of it mattered. To content creators and/or article writers, feel free to use the stats, charts, and graphs I make. As a great mage once said, knowledge is power. You never have to worry about asking permission or me coming after you. This information is already out there, I just enjoy making it consumable. Lastly, you all rock, I’ve publicly done this stuff since DF S2, and before that I just kept it all to myself thinking no one would be interested in all this. I don’t make money off of this and prefer it that way, money creates expectations, and I become a mess once expectation is involved. And as always, I’m proud of you all.

Kinda going back to this but: If The War Within had a short Season 4 (revisit raids + dungeons, minimal new content), how would it have affected Midnight development and player behavior? Some folks railed against the idea but I can draw a connection of more time = better quality.

@Zenchrios I have unfortunate news for you friend. Everyone does this in all walks of life. It’s to provide context of their background. Diablo players do it, PoE players do it, WoW players do it, FF14 players do it, LoL players do it, Dota players do it. Like this isn’t new.

I love how PoE players commenting on Diablo always make a point to say "from a PoE player" like it gives them some extra cred on the subject.

And that’s why people are happy that he left, because it seems like over the last 10-15 years, he’s been incognito, he doesn’t do anything to advance the game or make it better. I personally love the midnight expansion, I just think it could be better. Two things can be true at once.

I personally don’t have the bravado to be of the opinion that my fear of missing out is more important than others having the opportunity to acquire more rewards in a video game. Having the opportunity for more cool stuff is infinitely better than having less cool stuff. I struggle with FOBO (a lesser used term coined in the same article as FOMO back in 2004 which known as Fear of Better Options), but I don’t think offering less options is the solution to my own fear because that negatively impacts others and would be selfish of me. At the end of the day, there comes a point where we have to hold ourselves accountable for our own fears, and not lessen others experiences within a video game simply because we’re not okay with missing out on something.

I really don't like that m+ now has 3 fomo mounts per season :/ I think just the KSM mount was great. You missed a season, you missed one mount, np. It's similar to seasonal pvp mount. Now you miss a season, you miss 3 mounts 😣 "but annie they added a saddle to catch up with mounts you missed" yeah but that vendor comes with 6 new recolors too, meaning it will take 6 seasons to collect those first before you even consider old ones. I also wouldn't be surprised if they added more "new" recoloured ones to the vendor at that point. Idk, it just feels like so much bloat
