66k fake accounts & 10 million fake followers were removed. That's TikTok alone & just for Romania's election. Multiply that across all the countries & elections russia is actively trying to manipulate. That's the scale of what we're up against on these platforms.

A few years ago, if I tweeted anything even vaguely critical of the leftist orthodoxies of our age, I would be inundated with leftwing twitter loons spewing bile. Today, hardly a squeak. Has X's algorithm changed so it longer tilts things left? Or have the lefties left? Or has their post modern world view started to implode, undermining the self belief of the leftists?

Building ever-more flood defences cannot be our only response to the growing risk of flooding. We should be using nature to hold back water during heavy rainfall, installing ‘leaky’ dams which release water slowly, digging ponds to store floodwater & protecting floodplains
My private member’s bill would require water companies to deliver a set amount of water improvement works through nature-based solutions, enforced by @ofwat

Equalise capital gains tax with employment income
The money is there.
The minimum we expect from the Labour Chancellor is to equalise capital gains tax. So that capital gains are taxed at the same rate as employment income.
This one move alone would raise £14 billion for the government.
Which could be spent on say, reinstating the winter fuel payment for 10 million pensioners. Or lifting children out of poverty by abolishing the child benefit cap.
And we have £9 billion to spend on our cash strapped NHS and councils.
It’s those kind of [Labour and Conservative] political choices that put people into poverty. Fairer, greener taxes would tax wealth rather than poverty.
